MAIYEGUN COLLEGE is located within Olusegun Obasanjo Hilltop, GRA Estate, Oka-Mosan on the outskirts of the city of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State of Nigeria. It is on a vast expanse of 62,825 acres (25,425 hectares) of land. The campus lies within easy reach of the city’s centre and its new residential and government establishment areas. It is situated off Presidential Boulevard along the Abeokuta-Lagos dual carriageway connecting Abeokuta to Lagos. The College will benefit from the ample acreage that it occupies, providing playing fields, farms and physical expansion.
MAIYEGUN COLLEGE will have 4 classes of 20 – 25 students per class. Schooling will be for 6 or 7 years. From the initial Year 7 and Year 8 classes commencing in September 2009, the College will grow to full maturity within five academic sessions. By the final phase of development, the College population should number 720 students in about equal ratio of boys and girls. The school will be a full boarding school.
Curriculum content and methodology will aim at the average to the exceptional students. Students of other countries who attend MAIYEGUN COLLEGE will find it easy to transfer from the College to schools or universities in their own countries.
