The laying of the foundation of MAIYEGUN COLLEGE, on Tuesday 14th March 2006 on an expansive 62,825 acres (25,425 hectares) of land in the ancient and historic city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria marked the beginning of the realization of a dream by one man – Chief Ayinla Olatunde Abudu, OFR, a successful lawyer, award-winning industrialist and philanthropist.
Chief Abudu’s aim has always been to establish, nurture and sustain with continuous improvement, a world class secondary educational institution with facilities of international standard as a legacy for the eternal benefit of Nigerians in particular and humanity in general.
Like most great institutions, if the idea of MAIYEGUN COLLEGE, Abeokuta was the actualization of the individual’s vision, then it is being carried out by a distinguished and committed team of statesmen, diplomats, university administrators, educationists, professionals, businessmen, industrialists and many other eminent Nigerians and foreigners who shared the vision and mission of MAIYEGUN COLLEGE.
